Some Miley Fans Support What TaraElla Said

With some of Miley Cyrus's recent behaviour causing controversy amongst commentators, TaraElla has continued to be a staunch ally of Miley, even coming out to say that she believed Miley was still a good role model despite recent developments.

However, in her most recent article, she confessed that she still misses the 'Old Miley', and gave several reasons for that. "I did defend Miley, saying that she was still a role model for some things. Like how she supported marriage equality and was so passionate she got a tattoo for it. But I still miss the old Miley, and I still want her to be like she once was again." she wrote.

It seems to have struck a chord with some people, including some Miley fans. It seems that even though the New Miley is well liked enough, there are plenty of people who want the Old Miley back.

TaraElla Under Fire from Selena Fans

Some Fans of Selena Gomez have accused TaraElla of 'repeatedly picking on Selena Gomez'. This comes after her latest article in her magazine column, titled 'Selena Gomez, Spring Breakers and my 90s Standards', which is at least the fourth time TaraElla has commented on Selena's recent image change.

Fans of TaraElla, however, have defended her, saying that many people out there have been concerned about how Hollywood culture has been rapidly changing in recent years, and TaraElla is not alone.

TaraElla today said that she didn't have any negative feelings towards Selena, and it was just that 'somebody had to say something about the obvious'.

TaraElla Stands by Miley, Wants Amanda Bynes to Get Help

TaraElla has long been a supporter of the works of Miley Cyrus. So regarding Miley's recent controversies, what does TaraElla have to say? That she will remain a role model, no matter what! "She is a role model because she supports equal rights for all, she is a role model because she shows how a grown-up person can still maintain close relationships with their family," TaraElla said in her blog.

Well said, we think!

She has also called for Amanda Bynes' fans to help her through what appears to be a rough patch. I think it's a good call. People should be helping people, not making fun of them.

TaraElla, SpringBreakers and Moral Stances

We all know TaraElla is boycotting and not watching Springbreakers, starring Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and others, and is making her stance publicly. We also know she got some crap from some people for this stance.

But she is standing firm.

And we are supporting her. Whether you think you want to watch Springbreakers or not, I guess you can support somebody who stands by their moral choices.

TaraElla's 10 Years of Marriage Equality Support Series

I think it's a very good idea. Many marriage equality supporters have only recently come on board, but the struggle is for the long haul. TaraElla shows everyone how one's connection with the cause can strengthen over time.

TaraElla, Lady Gaga, the Pope and Gay Marriage

Lady Gaga recently had this to say about the Pope's comments on Gay marriage:

"What the Pope thinks of being gay does not matter to the world. It matters to the people who like the Pope and follow the Pope. … It is not a reflection of all religious people."


And TaraElla had this to say:


"I guess that's correct and very important too. Many Catholics I know of don't have a problem with marriage equality. I guess in religion ultra-conservative elements are given too much airtime sometimes."

TaraElla, as usual, is much more polite, but I guess they are making the same point.

TaraElla Calls on Kelly Clarkson to Support Gay Marriage

Singer-songwriter and self-proclaimed LGBTI ally TaraElla has called on Kelly Clarkson to publicly support gay marriage. In her celebrity blog, she wrote a detailed entry recently about the topic.

"There was a time when I thought Kelly Clarkson would be the first American Idol to endorse gay marriage. After all, she has a lot of gay and lesbian fans from what I know - not something that often happens really because gay men and lesbians often have different music tastes," TaraElla said.

"Some people may think gay marriage is not an important topic, but as I recently wrote in my political column, marriage equality is a human rights issue and therefore arguably more important than any economic issue," TaraElla also said.

TaraElla has always been an avid LGBT rights supporter, even before she became popular with her blog, books and music in recent years. She has publicly supported gay marriage since 2003, according to her website.
